Check out 3 branding statement generators and see how they can help strengthen your personal or business brand. Plus, see examples of great brand statements.
Ready, set, go! In a sentence or two, sum up:
Challenging, isn‘t it? There are so many things you could say. How do you wrap them up neatly into a concise but complete business or personal brand statement?
A branding statement generator can help you pare down the information you want to share. But before we get into which generators are worth trying, let‘s see a few examples of crystal clear brand statements.
You can only tell a good branding statement generator from a bad one when you know what strong brand statements look like. So, here are three great examples.
Since we're talking about branding, why not start with an example from branding thought leader Donald Miller of Building a StoryBrand fame? StoryBrand‘s brand statement is simple: "Clarify your message." Or, you may occasionally see the longer version, "Clarify your message so more customers engage."
This example focuses heavily on the offer (“help to clarify your message”). And on the benefit you‘ll get out of receiving this help (“more customer engagement”).
Next is a personal brand statement example from Jonathan Stark, whose entire brand centers on the idea that trading time for money is a losing game. Jonathan‘s brand statement is: "I teach experts how to make more money without working more hours."
Why does it work? It points to something the audience wants—instructions on earning more without working more. And the mention of teaching experts alludes to the idea that Jonathan has a higher level of expertise than most on this subject and will give more than surface-level tips.
Kate toon is an award-winning entrepreneur and expert in search engine optimization (SEO) and copywriting. Her website gives a good example of a longer, more descriptive personal brand statement. Kate sums up her strong personal brand this way: "I’m here to help you build a successful, profitable, enjoyable business. Using smart, creative, simple digital marketing tactics."
This works for several reasons. "I'm here to help you" plants the seed of what feels like a personal, beneficial relationship with Kate. The goal of building a successful business that you don't hate is clear. And it's also no secret how Kate plans to help you reach that goal.
Those three elements are a good formula for brands of all sorts. That includes professionals looking to optimize their LinkedIn profiles or websites, attract more recruiters, or land more interviews during a job search!
Writing a powerful branding statement may sound like a tall task, but in reality, it’s not so bad. In fact, it can be quite simple if you follow certain guidelines and put some thought into it. Of course, you could always rely on a branding statement generator, but if you were doing things manually, here’s how it’s done:
By following these steps, you can craft a powerful branding statement that effectively communicates your personal brand and resonates with your target audience. Alternatively, if you used tools to generate your branding statement, you could use this as a checklist to edit the output from an AI tool like Jasper.
Now that we‘ve seen some good brand statements, let‘s see what tool can help you write one just as good.
Our own artificial intelligence tool Jasper is definitely worth a mention. There are several ways Jasper can help you write brand statements.
For example, in our long-form content creator, you can write a few details about your personal or business brand in a long-form document and command Jasper to turn them into a brand statement. (Commands are written in plain English, as you can see below, and executed with CTRL or CMD + Shift + Enter.)
And here’s the output we got from this command:
"Empowering brands through the power of TikTok, we connect businesses with a dynamic network of over 10,000 influencers, driving over $113 million in sales since January 2022."
Alternatively, you could use the Unique Value Proposition template to create a concise statement that speaks to the benefits of what you offer. Enter a description of your brand and a tone of voice. Jasper will take it from there.
You can then edit or combine the unique value props to your liking.
Here’s some examples of outputs we got from this template:
Pros:
Cons:
Pricing: You can grab the Creator plan for as little as $39 per month. Or, you can get the ultra-powerful Professional plan, which starts at $59 per month. Business plans are also available with flexible pricing options for enterprise organizations.
Smart Copy offers many templates for content and copywriting, including one for Brand Statements. It‘s simple to use. Enter your company name, a brand description, target audience, and relevant brand keywords. It‘s optional, but you can also write your brand purpose in the Fine-tune section to keep the suggested statements as relevant as possible.
Here‘s some sample information we entered for a fictional company that provides e-commerce store plugins.
And here are a handful of the results the tool generated.
Pros:
Cons:
Pricing: Unbounce has a free plan. Its paid plans are $19 and $49 per month.
This branding statement generator from The Intentional Branding Company takes you through four simple steps. First, you enter your company name. Second, you name your industry. Third, is a description of how your product or services helps customers (in five words or less). And fourth, you input two core values that differentiate you from the competition. Here‘s the brand statement it gave us.
Pros:
Cons:
Pricing: Free to use
Whether you’re an entrepreneur needing a personal brand statement or a business owner trying to strengthen your company’s branding, the generators above can get you on the right track.
And Jasper, in particular, can help you write more than just branding statements. He can assist with anything from brainstorming taglines and catchphrases to writing an About Us page to creating social media content.
